You don't like 'Sweeney Todd'? re: ....hello

... oh well. You took your time getting here!

I have done almost nothing this week except watch 'Oz'. As a consequence, I've been dreaming about it almost the whole week. I'm genuinely interested to see who turns up in my subconscious tonight. I have now sadly run out of 'Oz', so in another few days, I might be able to have a normal conversation without turning it to prison somehow. re: ....hello

How many musicals can you think of that are set in prison or at least have prison sequences? The ones that pop instantly into my head are 'Kiss of the Spider Woman', 'Hairspray', and 'The Producers'. Any more? Well, I guess 'Les Miserables' must count, even though it's not really prison as we currently know it... hmmm...

I was just watching the film of Sweeney Todd! (Bit of a let down really, but I did love it when my class came in and were shocked it was a musical haha)
I didn't get into the Jack Petchey course thingy ( =( ) but I'm seeing Jersey Boys and Joseph for my birthday tomorrow and seeing friends =)
I also did very well and turned down three tickets this week, stupid coursework =(

There's a great big 'Chicago'-shaped gap in my brain generally though. I've never seen the show (I'm either broke, or waiting for a cast that sounds appealing), never seen the movie (irrational hatred of Renee Zellweger), and although I have the movie soundtrack, I've only listened to it a handful of times.

ONE day, I'll see 'Chicago'. And blast through the gap in my mind...

I still need to Chicago and kick myself regularly for not going in March when Bonnie Langford was in.
