I know this production divided people but I personally loved it, well with the first cast anyway.

They rumored this a few weeks ago see if it would pick up for summer. It hasn't, not even what's his name wanted to stay.
The Bill Kenwright backlash begins!
**where is it confirmed by the way?

Have heard this too, but from a different source (inside, as it were!). No public announcement yet though.

I loved this version of the show,
but this was kind of predictable,
especially with the tour underway
How are sales for the tour doing?
Anybody got any idea?

"Spamalot' isn't closing thru hard times. If it was it would be closing in a few weeks, but its not, its got another 6 months to run and the public wont be told of this for another 5 months.
The only flop show announced this week is 'Gone With The Wind'!

wickedboy im confused? Do you mean the public wont be told Spamalots closing for another 5 months? Becuase they already know, its been announced on most theatre 'news' websites (e.g. WOS).

The general public don't really access these sites, they general depend on the national press feeds and printed entertainment guides. 'Spamalot' will start saying its closing, probably, around October time and they'll go big on it! Its one of the Palaces longest runners!

I have seen a few articles about Spamalot closing but they are just aimed at the theatre community rather than the general public

I read about Cabaret shuting in the official London Theatre Guide, link below.

I have not seen the show and with such a short notice to close, I probably will not get a chance to see Cabaret as it is on my to do list with Marguerite, Spamalot again, LOTR again, Spamalot again etc.

Of course, Spam has done well to last this long, however, it has struggled over the past few months.

One of the longest runners at the Palace...? I've always thought that theatre had long runners. Les Mis (of course), Jesus Christ Superstar, Song and Dance, Oklahoma.. I think they all did 2+ years

The only way this show should go out on the road would be if it played the fast lane of the M1!
