Hi,

I was reading an article in some supplement today that celebrated Lord Larry's centenery which will take place on the 22nd.

He is, without a doubt the greatest actor in living memory and possibly will never be surpassed in his Shakespearean performances and productions. I cannot imagine a better Hamlet, Richard III, Lear or Henry V (even though Branagh tries admirably).

I was wondering if anyone on the boards was ever fortunate enough to see the genius of Olivier live at the theatre? If so, what show? It is possibly one of my biggest regrets that I was only two years old when he died in 1989, so I was born too late to ever witness the great man in action. If you ever saw him, please share your experiences, would love to hear them!

Simon
