I have seen some of your other posts so knew you were from the US but thought you might travel to see it, However I asked you as I do know Americans, and people from other countries that have traveled to see the: Back to the Future-Musical at Manchester Opera House-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2HCjWg_Spo&t=29s
It’s an absolute fantastic production but a mediocre musical. The music is ok-ish but the lyrics are embarrassing. Almost every character who walks on the stage gets a song and it becomes a bit relentless.
The cast are very, very good indeed. The majority are doing impersonations of their movie counter parts, which is a little cheap for sure but they are so good that you just go with it.
The staging, the choreography, the sets, the costumes all of it are great it’s just the songs which are disappointing.
It isn’t coming to London as their isn’t a theatre available, although the plan is to bring it to the West End, in the future (perhaps after a stint abroad)
