West End Hit 'La Bete' Flops On Broadway-Again!

Closing 5 weeks early due to very low audience figures and very little advance.
Curtain down 9th Jan instead of 12th Feb.

The 1991 Broadway production closed after 3 weeks.

You couldn't get a ticket for love nor money for the London run 6 months ago.

Just walked past this theatre this afternoon.

When I saw the show in London, after Mark Rylance 30 minute tirade, the show just dragged for me.

All three are huge names in the UK, not all of them are in the US.

Surely David Hyde Pierce is a name in the US?

He and Mr Rylance were wonderful, Joanna Lumley not so much but the play wasnt great.
Over here a lot of us booked early due to Rylances casting but it wasnt hard to get a ticket later on.

I hope they like Jerusalem though.
