The sell out run of 'The Prisoner oF Second Avenue', currently at the Vaudeville Theatre starring Jeff Goldblum, has just been given a two week extension.
The production will now close on Sept 25th.
Plans have been put into action to get the show on Broadway for a season in April 2011.

It always puzzled me especially as it was as big down there as it was up here.Very cheap to produce too if they wanted to do it?
I was at the first performance at the Dominion back in 199? and nobody knew what to expect. It had been off air for a few years and suddenly it was put on stage.
It was an amazing experience, the place was packed for the entire weeks run and the audience just ate it up.
It went on 4 or 5 extensive UK national tours before closing for good. Many of the TV cast came up to the UK to star in it.
Then it returned as the musical in with Lily Savage and that toured twice before wrapping up in the West End at the Queens Theatre.
