Plans are afoot to bring the movie Fatal Attraction to the West End next year. The Glenn Close character would be made more of a loner but the bunny scene will remain!

I like the movie, but i don't think a stage adaptation is a particularly great idea.

A West End Fatal Attraction
It worked for 'Misery' when that was adapted for the stage back in 1992 tho it was done a little more tongue in cheek than the movie. It brought Sharon Gless to the London stage too.
'Fatal Attraction' is, of course, the most popular movie of two by far.

but popularity doesn't make good art necessarily. Misery is infinitely more suited for stage than Fatal Attraction is.

I wouldnt say its the more popular of the 2, Misery won an Oscar, its Mr King and the book sold squilions. When i told my friend Fatal Atraction was coming to the stage she said "your not gonna get a better lead woman then Sharon Stone, she was amazing in the film' (Yes she got it confused with Basic Instinct lol)

Oh and the stage show of Misery was Brilliant, i wish they would do it again
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

I saw Sharon Stone was just mentioned, wasn't it Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction? I always thought Glenn would make a excellent Norma Desmond? She could definitely wuin a Tony for this. Think a New York stage would be more suitable, somewhere like The Minskoff Theatre, but think this show could do with a try out first somewhere like Los Angeles, Pantanges Theatre.

In terms of box office, 'Fatal Attraction' is by far the biggest movie ($156M), taking more than double the box office of 'Misery' ($62M).
'Misery' is by far one of Kings best sellers in books but it didn't catch the publics attention at the cinema like the blockbuster bunny boiler.
I honestly couldn't choose which movie I prefer.

Why don't they put John Kings 'Christine' on stage?

EDIT: sorry, they have done already and they called it 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'
