Is the new Oklahoma! Uk tour worth seeing? If anyone has any pictures feel free to post as I really want to see what the set is like. Thanks

Oklahoma - UK TOUR

Its been doing incredibly business at every venue so far and is booking right up until November. Reviews have been very enthusiastic too.

Oklahoma - UK TOUR
I think Marti Webb looks like the Gandma from 'The Beverly Hillibillies'

Its a UK Productions production so the set will be pretty sparse- in fact I wouldn't be surprised if its the same set as was used for their 'Seven Brides'?

We're booked, but as it's a UK production I hold out no great hopes.
Is it based on the NT production?

Well in connection with UK productions, it probably means the latter!

I see the director did the South Pacific tour (pres the one with Dave Willetts?) and Fiddler (Paul Nicholas?)..both of which were adequate at best.

Well we saw it last night, at least the first half, but if we hadn't been in the middle of a row...

The overture sounded horrible, the set contrived to make the stage looked smaller, Curly sang well but didn't have great presence and downhill from there.

The rest of the cast were miscast/directed etc etc. The ballet reminded me of the mock ballet in AMPs Swan Lake.

Just say no to UK

Just had a look at the tour dates, this production has avoided all theatres in Greater London, if this came to The Churchill Bromley or The Orchard, Dartford, I probably go and see this.
