News hot off the press! SPEND SPEND SPEND just won the TMA (Regional Theatre) award for Best Musical, beating off stiff opposition from SPRING AWAKENING!

Much as I LOVE SA, I am delighted that Spend Spend Spend won. Maybe this will enhance the chance of a West End transfer of this brilliant production.

Not heard the other award results as yet - except that for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical, which was (deservedly) won by Kirsty Hoiles for playing the young Viv in Spend Spend Spend.

Didn't SPEND, SPEND, SPEND originally open in the West End? Is there a cast album?

Yes the OLC was Barbra Dickson, Rachel Lescovak (who was outstanding) and Stephen Haughton. The cast album was fantastic but pretty hard to come by now. However some chav in the midlands is running round with one after stealing my car radio re: SPEND SPEND SPEND wins TMA Best Musical award

"Didn't SPEND, SPEND, SPEND originally open in the West End? Is there a cast album?"

Alterego asks this question regularly. I think he's dropping a hint but I haven't learnt how to use Sendspace or somesuchlike yet.
