Just booked a ticket for my final day in the UK - December 19. I'm seeing this, and then Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake (for the fourth time). Anyone wanna join me at either?

I did this show in Year 11 at school, and have a definite soft spot for it.

I hope and pray that together Stephen Mear, Nigel Lilley and Chris Walker can do justice to the exquisite original Bob Fosse/Fred Werner/Ralph Burns dance sequences. I'm wishing that the full Frug is done, not the crappy abridged version from the 05 revival!!

The Menier art work has always been a bit iffy before the shows move to town and then they become pretty fantastic!

I liked The Sunday in the Park artwork and The Little Shop of Horrors one but La Cage Au Folles pales in comparison to the transfer art work and A Little Night Music art work was fine for both productions. I do like the artwork for Talent as it seems fitting.

CON, I have absolutely NO IDEA who this Tamsin girl is.

But since she has the same name as my fav performer ever then she mustn't be too bad, right? What has she done before?

Her first stage musical was as Sandy in the Grand Theatre Swansea production of 'Grease'.
It played a season at the Hammersmith Apollo.

I would expect that Dewynters will do both, and keep the new transfer artwork.

So this Tamzin girl is from EastEnders? Does she have the chops or, even more important, the dance skills for the role?

Sam, the transfer of Sunday in the Park with George kept the artwork intact so I imagine ALNM and La Cage will look the same. The only musical I think of that changed their artwork when they transferred to Broadway was Billy Elliot although I think plays from the Donmar and Broadway have different artwork from their original production and Wicked, Priscilla and Avenue Q changed their artwork when they transferred to London.

I can't imagine any design to be better than the current La Cage artwork...it literally is art! loves it! :)

erm Oz i think the answer to that is...noone really knows. she trained in musical theatre, and they're her roots..but she's not done a big musical like this since eastenders so she could be outstanding or she could fall flat on her face. But lets face it, with the reputation the menier has built up over the last few years with their musicals, they're not gonna hire someone who can't do the role, especially someone thats not massively famous.

Tamzin has probably been one of the few more successful people to come out of Eastenders, she starred in a show called Red Cap, a couple of ITV dramas, Hotel Babylon and now The Fixer. She also did Boeing Boeing.

The Menier usually get good people to star in their musicals like Sheridan Smith, Maureen Lipman, Douglas Hodge, Jenna Russell to name but a few.

She was also in the ensemble of the Sam Mendes Oliver revival in the 1990s original cast. Flower girl or something?

An example of chorus girl who makes it big on TV although not quite on same level as Catherine Zeta Jones.

I'm sure she can't be worse than Christina Applegate. Although I still enjoyed that revival overall.

Mama, that was the very first artwork for the show.

After the show left Sydney (and did Melbourne and Auckland) it changed its artwork to what's now on the CD - the vanishing point road pic. I LOVE the original, and wish they'd kept it for Melbourne/Auckland/London. Maybe they'll bring it back for Toronto/NYC?

mrkringas what what what?

Applegate was brilliant
Her voice may have not been the strongest but her acting was on fire, she was so adorable in that role. And her dancing (even with broken ankle) was great

I would say she was one of the funniest ladies ive seen do this role
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
