XANADU,  Broadway's surprise hit musical, now in its 2nd smash year at the Helen Hayes Theatre (240
West 44th St) is excited to announce that a London West End production is in the works spearheaded by David Ian and John Gore. The Broadway producers, Robert AhrensTara Smith, Brian Swibel, Cari Smulyan, Dale Smith and Dan Vickery will join Ian and Gore. The production is slated for Spring, 2009 at a theatre to be announced.

XANADU has been nominated for 4 2008 Tony Awards including Best Choreography, Best Book, Best Actress and Best Musical. The show received the 2008 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical as well as the 2008 Drama Desk Award for Best Book of  a Musical (Douglas Carter Beane).

Starring in the  Broadway production are Kerry Butler, Cheyenne Jackson, Tony Roberts, Jackie Hoffman and Mary Testa with Kenita Miller, Patti Murin, Kyle Dean Massey and Andre Ward featured.
