THE KOBOLD SHOW! is Heading to Edinburgh Fringe From NYC
Performances will take place on multiple dates in August.
The Kobold Show!, created and directed by David Andrew Laws, will be presented as part of the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe at Gilded Balloon Patter House - Coorie || 5-31 August at 11:40. Previews: 5-6 Aug. 2026 Dates: 7-31 Aug. 2026 (not 12, 26)
In this clown-y, crafty, physical theatre experience, a troupe of kobolds - small, lizard-like creatures from myth and tabletop gaming lore - stumble through a world of swords & sorcery and drag you along for the ride. While the tales of epic heroes and dastardly villains unfold around them, the kobolds must tackle challenges like opening doors, defending their cheese from mice, and surviving their own shenanigans. These cannon-fodder sidekicks are looking to claim the limelight for themselves...by any means necessary.
From the co-creator of The Twenty-Sided Tavern, which went from the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe to Off-Broadway, the Sydney Opera House, and a U.S. Tour, the Kobold Show! is another delightful mess of magic and mischief. "Intimate", "hilarious", and "surprisingly heartfelt", the kobolds were awarded Best Ensemble at the 2025 New York City Fringe. And now, these magnificent menaces are going international, ready to show the world that the real treasure is the treasure they loot along the way.
Because the kobolds speak primarily in what, to the human ear, sounds like gibberish, this production is perfect for international viewers and audiences of all ages, sizes, and species. Proficient in dungeon crawling and skulduggery, the kobolds may unlock different paths from show to show, leading to new rooms, new challenges, and new comedy with every quest.
The creative team includes David Andrew Laws (director, creator) and Xandra Abney (executive producer). The original devising ensemble was Miles Calderon (The Passion of Mr. Cardboard), Isabella Greathouse, Kyle Stover, Fermin Serrano, and Sophia Danyluk. Greathouse returns to reprise her role and is joined by fellow Fringe artists Servin Willinder (Time Travel Postman) and Ollie West (Discovery (WIP)). A full cast announcement is to come.
