SEARCHING BLUE to Make London Debut at The Coronet Theatre This July
Singapore's T.H.E Dance Company brings Kuik Swee Boon's work to Notting Hill's outdoor spaces.
The Coronet Theatre will present SEARCHING BLUE by Singapore-based T.H.E Dance Company from July 10–12.
Created and directed by T.H.E Dance Company's founding artistic director Kuik Swee Boon, the production begins inside The Coronet Theatre before moving to outdoor locations in nearby gardens and architectural spaces. The hybrid performance combines dance, live sound, and audience interaction as it unfolds across multiple sites.
Inspired by Kuik's daily commute and observations of the people and environments encountered along the way, SEARCHING BLUE examines themes of connection, awareness, and shared experience. The production features intimate interactions between performers and audience members, accompanied by a live soundscape created and performed by Malaysian sound artist Kent Lee.
The cast includes Carmelita Nuelle Buay, Priscilla Chan, Chang En, Klievert Jon Mendoza, and Fiona Thng. Kent Lee serves as composer, sound designer, and live performer.
T.H.E Dance Company previously appeared at The Coronet Theatre with Phenoumenon in 2022 and Rethinking Co-existence in 2024.
