Connie Fisher is set to star in the UK revival of WONDERFUL TOWN at the Lowry. The show will play March 31-April 14. Braham Murray is set to direct the production. Additional casting has not yet been announced.

Connie Fisher won the BBC One talent contest, How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? On 15 November 2006, she opened to excellent reviews in the part of Maria von Trapp in The Sound of Music in the West End, London on a six-month contract, which was extended until 23 February 2008. She resumed the role of Maria in The Sound of Music UK tour starting in July 2009.

Wonderful Town is a musical with a book written by Joseph A. Fields and Jerome Chodorov, lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and music by Leonard Bernstein. It is based on Fields and Chodorov's 1940 play My Sister Eileen, which is itself based on the collection of short stories by Ruth McKenney of the same name.
