Lea Salonga and the National Symphony Orchestra Join Forces for DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING Concerts This Weekend

By: Mar. 27, 2015

The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will celebrate the musicals of Boublil & Schönberg this weekend, March 27-28 with Do You Hear the People Sing, performed by a cast of talented vocalists led by Tony Award winner Lea Salonga.

Steven Reineke will conduct the National Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets range from $20 to $88 and can be purchased here.

"With their epic masterpiece LES MISERABLES, the Tony Award-winning creative team of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg changed the face of musical theater. More than 25 years later, this soaring concert experience celebrates their musical genius with songs from LES MISERABLES and their other Broadway hits--Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, The Pirate Queen, and La Révolution Française--plus a few special surprises. Tony Award winner Lea Salonga--who portrayed the original Kim in Miss Saigon and both Eponine and Fantine in LES MISERABLES--leads a talented cast of vocalists in what Broadway World calls 'an unexpectedly moving tribute to the universal appeal of [Boublil & Schönberg's] collaborations... Lea Salonga is flawless; the clarity of her voice is astounding.'"
