“Million Dollar Quartet” recounts an extraordinary event that took place on the night of December 4, 1956, when four young artists – Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash – gathered, by chance, at the Sun Record recording studios in Memphis, Tenn. The four immediately sat down for an impromptu and legendary jam session of early rock, country, and gospel standards. The musical is a rousing tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal, celebrations – and fabulous music performed live. Hit songs include “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Walk the Line,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Who Do You Love?,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Hound Dog,” and more.
