(09/29/2013) - The Waterbury Festival Playhouse, central Vermont's professional theater, in Waterbury Center, Vermont, presents 'Rumors' by Neil Simon. You arrive at a dinner party, the host has been shot, the hostess is nowhere to be found, no food is ready, and nobody knows what's going on. This is one of Neil Simon's classic studies of people in unusual situations. It is a hilarious comedy of misunderstandings and miscommunications in a group of friends in an unexpected situation. It sounds like a modern TV sitcom. Well it is. Live and in person and where you are the laugh track. Check out a first look below!

With a national reputation of delivering superb new musicals to its audience, Weston was able to secure both a director and a leading lady with substantial Broadway credits, abundant talent and real passion for the piece. The two were introduced by a friend of Rosen's, who wasn't able to make the wedding, as a result of the weather and warnings throughout all the boroughs. The BroadwayWorld.com News Desk stayed feverish all weekend while the couple said 'I Do', as news was coming fast about theatre cancellations, schedule changes and travel advisories in addition to all things that were happening in other parts of the country and the world, not affected by the Northeast's local weather.

Tickets for the show are discounted 20% through the run of the show if bought as part of a four-play season subscription. Performances of 'Dames' are Tuesday, June 16 through Saturday, June 20, at 8 p.m. each evening and Saturday, June 20, and Saturday, June 27, at 2 p.m., on the stage of the McCarthy Arts Center on the campus of Saint Michael's College.
