"The pianist, teacher, composer and arranger Gerry Weil celebrates 77 years with an intimate concert, full of passion and energy of his eternal youth, next to his friend and percussionist for more than three decades; Carlos "" Nene "" Quintero, and the virtuoso bass player; Freddy Adrian, having as special guest singer-songwriter Laura Guevara.
With repertoire completely renovated for the occasion, Master Gerry Weil again delight us with his music and themes taken from the roots and Heartand Jazz music to convey that feeling as only he can.
Gerry, one of the pioneers and greatest sculptor and professor of Jazz in Venezuela, is the only foreign (Austrian by birth), which has received the National Music Prize, a distinction that was granted in 2008. Similarly, just received a musical tribute at the Chacao Cultural Center rightly edition of his biography, written by Cristina Rafalli, "" Rhythm of Gerry Weil. "
