The Day of Knowledge Sharing opens the 5th annual ʔəm̓i ce:p xʷiwəl – Come Toward the Fire Festival with free, non-ticketed programming from 12:30–4:30pm on unceded Musqueam territory. The day features an opening welcome from Musqueam Councillor Alec Guerin, performances from Coastal Wolf Pack and Cree/Métis folk trio Burnstick, along with workshops, cultural tours, film screenings, video art, an Indigenous artisan market, and artist roundtables. Participating venues include the Chan Centre, Museum of Anthropology, Belkin Gallery, UBC First Nations House of Learning, and the UBC Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre. Additional performing artists include LOV, G̱a̱mksimoon, Kalyn Fay, Francis Baptiste, and Miss Christie Lee.
