THE GUILTY FEMINIST, RICH HALL & SLAY Among Shows Set For Gilded Balloon 2026 Edinburgh Fringe Programme
The programme spans comedy, theatre, music, and cabaret, with more shows still to be announced.
Gilded Balloon has announced 105 new shows for its 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe programme, spanning comedy, theatre, musicals, cabaret, variety, and children’s programming. The announcement marks the company’s largest on-sale to date, with additional programme details to be revealed in the coming months.
The programme will take place across multiple venues in August, including the return to Teviot alongside Patter House, Gilded Balloon at the Museum, and the newly added Gilded Saloon.
Comedy Highlights
The lineup includes returning names and established acts such as Gregor Fisher, Phil Nichol, THE GUILTY FEMINIST, and Rich Hall, alongside emerging performers including Madeleine Brettingham, Adi Parmar, Fab Goualin, Hannah Byczkowski, and Shane Daniel Byrne.
Late’n’Live will return as the festival’s late-night showcase, featuring a rotating lineup of comedians. Best Of So You Think You’re Funny? will also return, highlighting emerging talent, alongside ongoing heats for the competition.
Additional comedy offerings include Gregor Fisher: An (Early) Evening With Gregor Fisher, Madeleine Brettingham: Legend, Rich Hall: Chin Music, Kim Blythe: Puzzle, and Fiona Allen: White Lies.
Theatre Highlights
The theatre programme includes SLAY, which explores trauma and therapy, and Silent Disco, an immersive headphone-based experience.
Other productions include HESS, Broke & Fabulous in the 21st Century, Ostrich, Top Gunchained, Boy in a Box, and Waiting For Wonka.
Cabaret, Music & Variety
Cabaret and variety programming includes Fake by Chris Cook, EIGHT: The One (Wo)Man Drag King Musical Parody, and Fungasm: Save or Smash.
Music and musical theatre offerings include Crocodile Rock, Primary School Bangers, Unheard Voices, Unbroken Spirits, and Antigone: A Town Hall Musical.
The programme will also feature performances by Charlene Kaye and Siobhan Wilson.
Family & Children’s Shows
Family programming will include Max Fulham’s Monkey Business, Mama G: The Magic Bookmark, and Bring Yer Bairn Comedy, which is designed for audiences attending with young children.
