Having played to a million fans over the past three decades, The Solid Silver 60s Show returns to Manchester Opera House on Sun 7 May.

This sensational music bonanza has become the definitive music mecca for fans of the golden era of pop music who want to relive and experience this very special decade, up close with their idols.

Playing host to many of the greatest names from the time, including Bobby Vee, Billy J Kramer, Gerry and The Pacemakers, The Troggs, The Searchers, Peter Noone and Brian Hyland, the show is back for a record breaking 32nd year, proving how great music and artistry never go out of fashion.

For 2017, The Solid Silver 60s Show returns with an iconic lineup comprising The Merseybeats (Wishin' and Hopin', I Think Of You, Sorrow), Dave Berry (Memphis Tennessee, The Crying Game, Little Things, Mama), Wayne Fontana (Game Of Love, Um Um Um Um Um, Pamela Pamela, Come On Home), Vanity Fare (Early In The Morning, I Live For The Sun, Hitchin' A Ride) and very special guest Chris Montez (Let's Dance, The More I See You, Some Kinda Fun, There Will Never Be Another You, Call Me).

The Merseybeats are one of the Cavern Club's original alumni (having performed with The Beatles and Gerry and The Pacemakers). Joining them is Dave Berry, one of the original teen idols of the 1960s who had enormous success in Europe, and Wayne Fontana, a perennial 60s star who has become a leading artist in the 60's revivalist scene. Direct from the USA, special guest Chris Montez brings his stylistic approach from rock n roll to pop standards, with Vanity Fare completing the bill, known for their million selling single Hitchin' A Ride which became a defining song of the era.
