The Finborough Theatre has announced it's Summer 2012 Season which includes HIS GREATNESS, ALL GOOD MEN, EVENTS WHILE GUARDING THE BOFORS GUN, MERRIE ENGLAND, THE DRAWER BOY and THE SLUTS OF SUTTON DRIVE. The Summer Season features rediscoveries from two of UK's dramatists, a classic British musical, and new writing from two Canadian playwrights, as well as the debut of a brand new US playwright.

The season opens with the European premiere of Daniel MacIvor’s HIS GREATNESS playing 24 April–19 May 2012, and directed by Ché Walker who returns to the Finborough Theatre following his sell-out show FOG in January. On Sundays and Mondays 29, 30 April and 6, 7, 13 and 14 May,the first UK production in nearly 40 years of Trevor Griffiths' ALL GOOD MEN will be presented.

Commemorating the tenth anniversary of the death of playwright John McGrath, and unseen in a professional production in London since 1966, John McGrath’s EVENTS WHILE GUARDING THE BOFORS GUN plays 22 May–16 June 2012, directed by Robert Hastie. On Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, 27, 28, 29 May, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11 and 12 June 2012, Merrie Englad, the first professional London production for 52 years of his spectacular Elizabethan operetta, will be presented.

The season finishes with the London premiere of the multi-award-winning international hit play, THE DRAWER BOY by Michael Healey, one of Canada's pre-eminent dramatists, playing 19 June–14 July 2012. On Sundays and Mondays 24, 25 June, 1, 2, 8 and 9 July 2012, the world premiere of THE SLUTS ON SUTTON DRIVE is presented, the work of emerging American playwright Joshua Conkel.

The Finborough Theater has also announced the return of the Papatango New Writing Competition. The closing date for competition entries is 1 May.

The Finborough Theatre is now fully air-conditioned, and also now offers STAGETEXT captioned performances for each main run.

Performance Times and Prices for HIS GREATNESS | EVENTS... | THE DRAWER BOY Tuesday to Saturday evenings at 7.30pm. Sunday matinees at 3.00pm. Saturday matinees at 3.00pm (from the second week of each run). Prices for Weeks 1 and 2 – Tickets £14, £10 concessions, except Tuesday evenings £10 all seats, and Saturday evenings £14 all seats.


Prices for Weeks 3 and 4 – Tickets £16, £12 concessions, except Tuesday evenings £12 all seats, and Saturday evenings £16 all seats.


And for all three shows: £6 tickets for Under 30’s for performances in the first week of each main run when booked online. £10 tickets for residents of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea on the first Saturday of each run when booked online. STAGETEXT captioned performances on the Saturday matinee of the third week of each run.
