La promozione torna lunedì 20 ottobre e continua fino a domenica 9 novembre, offrendo biglietti a 20 dollari per spettacoli teatrali e musical partecipanti, acquistati alla biglietteria 20 minuti prima dell'inizio.
Per quasi 20 anni, 20at20 è stata una delle promozioni più attese di New York per gli spettatori teatrali attenti al budget.

20at20 è presentato dall'Off Broadway Alliance (OBA), una corporazione non profit di professionisti del teatro dedicata a sostenere, promuovere e incoraggiare il teatro Off Broadway e a rendere il teatro dal vivo più accessibile a nuovi e diversi pubblici. Tra le sue iniziative, l'OBA sponsorizza una serie di seminari gratuiti sulla cultura, il business e la storia dell'Off Broadway, con la partecipazione di figure di rilievo della comunità. L'OBA ha anche creato l'Off Broadway Economic Impact Report, che documenta il contributo annuale di 500 milioni di dollari dell'Off Broadway all'economia di New York City.
