Russell Tovey incarne le policier troublé Joe, coincé de nuit, qui reçoit un appel désespéré au 999 d'Emily. Alors qu'il s'efforce de déchiffrer des indices fragmentés venant d'une femme en danger, un thriller en temps réel se déroule. Dans une nuit remplie de rebondissements troublants, Joe a la sensation grandissante que rien n'est tout à fait ce qu'il semble.

Dirigé par Felix Barrett, The Guilty est écrit par la dramaturge primée Chloë Moss, basé sur les films Den Skyldige et The Guilty.

Russell Tovey revient au Donmar pour jouer Joe  – il a précédemment joué dans Constellations (Vaudeville Theatre).
