Das Signature Theatre hat einen ersten Blick auf Cedric Neal veröffentlicht, der "Simple Joys" aus ihrer kommenden Produktion von Pippin performt. Das neue Video zeigt Neal, wie er das Lied mit dem Orchester der Produktion probt, vor ihrer ersten Aufführung am 12. Mai.
Neal führt die Produktion als Leading Player an, unterstützt von Brayden Bambino (The Flea’s Orion and the Goatman, American Theatre of Actors’ GoodTV) als Pippin. Das Musical wird von dem künstlerischen Leiter des Signature Theatre, Matthew Gardiner (Signature’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, HAIR) inszeniert, mit Choreografie von Rachel Leigh Dolan (Olney Theatre Center’s Annie, Keegan Theatre’s Chicago) und musikalischer Leitung von Jon Kalbfleisch (Signature’s Fiddler on the Roof, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum).
Die Aufführungen finden vom 12. Mai bis 26. Juli 2026 im MAX Theatre des Signature Theatre statt. Die Tickets beginnen bei 47 $ und sind jetzt erhältlich.
Die Besetzung von Pippin wird ergänzt durch Ellison Bihm (Silver Spring Stage’s A Christmas Carol) als Theo, Eric Hissom (Signature’s JOB, Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Our Town) als Charles, Naomi Jacobson (Signature’s Cabaret, Arena Stage’s POTUS) als Berthe, Maria Rizzo (Signature’s Ragtime, Into the Woods) als Fastrada, Awa Sal Secka (Signature’s Play On!, Arena Stage’s Chez Joey) als Catherine und Ryan Sellers (Signature’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Round House Theatre’s The Tempest) als Lewis.
