Rainbow on Mars is a multidisciplinary world premiere that fuses dance and theatre, created by Devon Healey and choreographed by Robert Binet. It presents the journey of a young woman navigating an upside-down world of deception and perception, reflecting Healey's own experiences with Blindness. Co-directed by Nate Bitton and Mitchell Cushman, the production features a cast of 19 performers, including dancers from The National Ballet of Canada's RBC Apprentice Programme, offering a visceral exploration of sight and the power of perception. The innovative Immersive Descriptive Audio (IDA) enhances the experience for both blind and sighted audience members, making this production a landmark event in accessible theatre.
