In Room of Keys, David James Brock adapts Bela Bartok’s opera, Bluebeard’s Castle with music from Bartok and original compositions by Adam Sherkin. The play explores a man discovering his father’s secret and abandoned music shop. Once there, their shared history unravels through seven memories and instruments – from a child's toy to a Bösendorfer Grand – where the music is not always beautiful.
