For 35 days this summer, Toronto will be home to the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games. As part of the Games, the arts and culture festival, PANAMANIA will present more than 250 unique commissioned performances and exhibitions, creating a cultural legacy that will make an everlasting impression on the international arts and culture stage.

PANAMANIA will bring 12 World Premiere Theatre Productions plus, dance, music, fashion, and visual arts to Toronto in a way that the city has never seen before.

THE WATERSHED World Premiere
When: July 7-11 2015
Where: Berkeley Street Theatre
THE WATERSHED is a documentary play about a seminal moment in Canadian history; the attack on the future of fresh water. Inspired from private conversations in homes and current event stories in the media, THE WATERSHED follows an artist and a country struggling to chart a sustainable course between economic growth and environmental stewardship.

THE POSTMAN World Premiere

THE POSTMAN follows Canada's first African-Canadian postman, Albert Jackson, on his original route in the Annex. This site-specific presentation tells the story of Mr. Jackson's journey to overcome racial protest and rise to his ultimate position at Canada Post.

GIMME SHELTER World Premiere

Upon learning of the staggering statistics of people who will be displaced because of the rising sea levels caused by climate change, theatre artist Ravi Jain found himself asking: "what can I do?" Inspired by the ancient text of the great Indian epic: the Mahabharata, GIMME SHELTER questions our responsibility to action when facing problems that seem too big to solve.

LOVE, DISHONOR, MARRY, DIE, CHERISH, PERISH is a tribute to David Rakoff. The show includes a dramatized reading of Rakoff's whimsical and deeply moving portrait of life in the 20th century.
