Robyn Spangler to Play the Rancho Mirage Library, 5/7

By:

BroadwayWorld Award winner Robyn Spangler brings her show "Why I Love Linda Ronstadt" to the Rancho Mirage Library on Tuesday, May 7 at 7:00 pm.

Robyn's show is a tribute to Linda Ronstadt which is a four decade journey that is pop, rock, country, latin, operetta and standards. It is a genre hoping ride as she lovingly follows Ronstadt through her four-decade career.

Spangler has been touring the show across the US for almost two years and continues to play to packed venues. Spangler laughs, "Everyone has their favorite Ronstadt recording so we usually have someone yell out a song they've not heard toward the end of the show. It's hard not to run long."

The La Quinta Museum notes, "We had to turn people away." Don Grigware of BroadwayWorld writes, "Robyn is a vibrant singer. Leaving the audience wanting more is a sign of a truly great artist and Robyn Spangler fills the bill." Jerome Elliott of CabaretScenes says of the show, "Robyn's well- crafted hour sparkled." Stephen Hanks of BroadwayWorld says, "Beautifully retro, torch and [she] delivered the perfect encore."

Robyn has recorded two albums with o.p. records. "On A Liquid Afternoon" and a companion CD to the show "Why I Love Linda Ronstadt" as well as her co-penned single "Second Wind". All are receiving airplay on Delta Airlines Hello Music Channel.

You can currently see Robyn as Chloe Rogers in the new Web Series "The Prodigal Daughter" on You Tube.

Spangler works across the many mediums... in film, television, stage and internet but it is as a concert singer that Robyn hits her stride. Join Robyn for an evening of music, fun, Gilbert, Sullivan, Jagger, Riddle... and a little Linda.

With Musical Director Todd Schroeder and Tim Christensen on bass. The Rancho Mirage Library is located at 71100 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270. Admission is free. For more information call: 760-341-5213. www.robynspangler.com.
