THE FABULOUS LIPITONES to Launch FST's Summer 2016 Season; Lineup Announced!

Florida Studio Theatre's Summer Mainstage Season kicks off with the culture clash comedy, The Fabulous Lipitones, the touching and funny production of The Roommate, and the courageous journey of self-discovery in The God of Isaac. The season opens on June 1 and plays through August 21 in the Keating and Gompertz Theatres.
TampaRep to Open Silent Sky This Week

Tampa Repertory Theatre will present Lauren Gunderson's fascinating true tale of groundbreaking women scientists Silent Sky in the Smith Black Box theater at Tampa Preparatory School, 727 West Cass Street in downtown Tampa, May 5 through May 22. Performances are at 7:30 PM on Thursdays, 8 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 PM on Sundays. Patrons may purchase tickets at the door or from a link on TampaRep's website at http://www.tamparep.org.

FST Announces Winners of Young Playwright's Festival

FST has announced the winning plays of this year's Young Playwright's Festival. For 25 years, FST has honored thousands of young playwrights from all around the world through the WRITE A PLAY(WAP) program. Over the course of the 2015-2016 season, FST received plays written by over 3,600 young playwrights, aged 5-18. This year's winning plays will be presented in Imagination Adventures which is now playing through May 27 in FST's Keating Theatre. Tickets are $6. Please contact WRITE-A-PLAY Coordinator Patrick A. ZZ Top Postpones Performance at Van Wezel

Due to injury ZZ Top has postponed their Sarasota debut originally set for Wednesday, April 27th at 8PM, the reschedule date is yet to be determined but will be announced very soon.  Last Thursday, Dusty Hill was injured at the Lone Star Events Center in Lubbock, Texas that prevented the evening's ZZ Top performance from taking place.  Dusty has subsequently undergone treatment for a fractured shoulder.  ZZ Top's concert dates on the current tour have been postponed through May 7.
