Lots of Theatre Choices in Tampa

TampaRep has two openings coming up: The Realistic Joneses on Nov. 11 and Transmission (the first of this year's Conversation Starters) on Nov. 14. We're not the only company hard at work right now, and I wanted to let you know about one of the other special companies in Tampa -- even though these particular performances conflict with ours.

Greetings! Tampa's BEST (only?) sketch comedy troupe, Some Sort of Show, is excited to announce two shows coming up this week for your viewing pleasures!

This Friday, (Nov. 11) at Stageworks Theatre, we'll be presenting the Some Sort of Season 5 Finale! Featuring Jonelle Meyer, Jaime Giangrande-Holcom, Ryan Bernier, Johnny Garde, Brianna Larson, Cliff Kelley, and Nathan Jokela, with fresh, new sketches (as well as a few from the archives), this show will definitively answer the question, "Is Some Sort of Show over and done?" (Spoiler alert: No. We are neither over nor done.)

Then on Monday, November 14, join us in the Shimberg Playhouse for the 2016 Some Sort of Theater Awards! This is the third year we've held our fake awards show celebrating as many artists in the area as we can convince to show up to this thing! This year's show features artists from Jobsite Theater, Hat Trick Theatre Productions, Inc, American Stage, freeFall Theatre Company, Stageworks Theatre, and more!
