freeFall to Open Season with INTO THE WOODS

freeFall Theatre's 2014/15 season, AN ESCAPE FROM REALITY, opens with Stephen Sondheim's classic musical take on what happens after happily ever after. INTO THE WOODS is one of freeFall's top-requested shows and is the second Sondheim musical produced at the theatre since the inaugural production of THE FROGS in 2010. Artistic Director Eric Davis has created a new and exciting staging that will delight and intrigue audiences of all ages with its imaginative storytelling.

INTO THE WOODS stars Broadway's Ann Morrison (MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG, Original Broadway cast and several appearances at 54 Below) as The Witch. INTO THE WOODS also stars T. Robert Pigott as The Baker (Disney's FINDING NEMO The Musical), Lee Anne Mathews as The Baker's Wife (Les Miz at MUNY) and Bay area favorite Matthew McGee as The Narrator/Mysterious Man.

INTO THE WOODS also features Katie Berger, Kelly Pekar, Nick Lerew, Griffeth Whitehurst, Donna DeLonay, Taylor Simmons, Joanna Lauren Mandel and Susan Haldeman. The show is directed by Eric Davis (Creative Loafing's Best Artistic Director 2014) and choreographed by Michael Foley (Cirque Du Soleil, Paris Opera). Michael Raabe (Off-Broadway Production of DISENCHANTED) serves as Musical Director and Arranger. Eric Davis designs sets and costumes and Mike Wood designs the lighting.

INTO THE WOODS is soon to be a major motion picture from The Walt Disney Company starring Oscar Winner Meryl Streep. The original production opened on Broadway in 1987 and ran for 765 perfromances.
