The Richey Community Orchestra and Chorus join forces on Sunday, April 23, 2017 to present "Broadway Gold",an unforgettable collection of classic songs from Broadway's most popular shows and revivals. Special guests are Broadway veterans Jimmy Ferraro and Dee Etta Rowe.
Jimmy Ferraro has appeared in over 3000 performances of Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway and in national and international tours. Other favorite roles include Edna in Hairspray, Sancho in Man of La Mancha and Nicely-Nicely in Guys and Dolls. Dee Etta Rowe made her Broadway debut in Most Happy Fella and in the Tony Award-winning musical Nine. Jimmy and Dee Etta will be featured in selections from Guys and Dolls and Fiddler on the Roof.
The Richey Community Chorus performs with the Orchestra each season. They have been featured in past productions of the Messiah, "The British Are Coming" and "Lullaby of Broadway". In this show they will perform selections from West Side Story. The Orchestra will play selections from Hello Dolly, The King and I and Miss Saigon. This "pure gold" show is jam-packed with great songs and super talented performers.
Maestro Stephen P. Brown will conduct the RCO, Pasco County's premier symphony orchestra. The 50-piece orchestra has a membership of both professional and amateur musicians. The show will start at 3:00 p.m., at the Center for the Arts on the campus of River Ridge High School, 11646 Town Center Road, New Port Richey.
Tickets for this show are $15.00 each for open seating. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the RCO Box Office at 6827 AmberJack Lane, Hudson, FL 34667. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the day of the concert if available.
