Principal Casting Announced for the Florida Premiere of THE LOVE NOTE

Rise Above Performing Arts, a new up and coming performing arts theatre for young performers will present The Florida Premiere of The Love Note this February at The Glenridge Performing Arts Center in Sarasota, Florida. The musical that features book, music and lyrics by Gail Phaneuf made its Off Broadway debut in November 2014 at The Actors Temple Theatre.

Jacob Ruscoe (Who serves as the Artistic Director of Rise Above Performing Arts) directs a young cast of over 30. The principal cast includes Aubrey Solum, Leah Henry, Mackenzie O'Conner, Addison Ruscoe, Cooper Fleralge, Bryn Dulitz, Moriah Emrich, Isabella Ortega and Anya Studebaker.

The creative team includes Joi Chapman (Music Director), Rachael Nicole Henry (Choreographer), Krista Baker (Development Coordinator) and KEVIN Ray Johnson (Assistant Director and The Creative Artistic Advisor).

(Johnson also performed in the Original Off Broadway Cast of The Love Note in 2014)

The Love Note is described as "the musical journey of young Jessie at a new school, where she attempts to navigate the lunchroom bullies, tween fashionistas and a new crush. Jessie's lonely school lunches are heartened by the tiny pink love note her mother packs into her brown paper bag each day, but once chief-bully Brittany bites into her snatched sandwich, Jessie knows she's in trouble. Facing the challenge with her magical friend Airy, they concoct a spicy strategy to help Jessie stand up for herself."
