Keep your eyes peeled next week for the release of the exciting 45 minute documentary on the rehearsal process for freeFall's FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. This exciting collaboration with award winning documentarian Leigh Simons will take you behind the scenes into the rehearsals to give you an unprecedented look at what it takes to bring you freeFall's season. The film will be released as three 15-minute episodes that will be viewed online. Watch all three and you will be able to enter a contest to win a VIP Holiday Party for 10 at the theatre during our run of A Christmas Carol. The documentary will be released in an e-blast this week, as well as be seen on our website (freefalltheatre.com) and Facebook page.

Writer, Director and Producer Leigh Simons has produced a wide variety of television and motion picture programming over the past 27 years. The past decade his expertise has been widely recognized for his accomplishments in the area of sports documentary programming having produced over 30 boxing sports documentaries for HBO Sports, SHOWTIME Sports and FOX sports networks.

An audience favorite nearly 50 years after its stage debut, very few musicals have so magically woven music, dance, poignancy and laughter into such an unforgettable experience. Produced by Harold Prince, directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins, and starring Zero Mostel, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF opened at Broadway's Imperial Theatre September 22, 1964, where it experienced unprecedented success running 3,264 performances and winning nine Tony Awards. The musical received international attention thanks to the 1971 United Artists motion picture adaptation featuring Topol. In 1991 and 2004, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF was revived on Broadway and received even more Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical (1991) Best Orchestrations (2004) and nominations in 2004 for Best Revival of a Musical and Best Actor

Ticket prices range from $16 to $44 plus ticketing fee (waived for members). The theatre is located at 6099 Central Avenue in St. Petersburg. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF currently runs through November 3 at freeFall Theatre.
