First Annual Jeff Norton Theater Awards Kick Off At The Palladium Theater

Tampa Bay's professional theaters announce the first annual Jeff Norton Theater Awards to be held Monday, August 22 at The Palladium Theater at St. Petersburg College, 253 Fifth Ave. N, St. Petersburg, FL. The event starts at 7pm with after-party to follow. Tickets are only $10 to encourage all members of the arts community to attend, but guests may purchase $25 tickets to express their support.
Jeff Norton was a beloved member of the local theater community, and Tampa Bay's artistic directors have teamed together to honor his memory with a celebration of local professional theater. American Stage, Gorilla Theatre, Jobsite Theater, and Stageworks Theatre are hosting this year's event. Audiences have been voting all year for their favorites in the categories of Best Actor, Best Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Director, Lighting/Sound Designer, Costume Designer, and Set Designer. ABC Action News anchor Brendan McLaughlin will be acting as the evening's master of ceremonies, and members of the local theater community will serve as award presenters.
