Broadway Bootcamp's THE WIZ to Open This Weekend at Manatee Performing Arts Center
Broadway Bootcamp as part of Manatee Performing Arts Center's Conservatory Program presents The Wiz!
Dorothy, a restless Kansas farm girl eager to see more of the world, is transported by a tornado to a magical world of Munchkins, witches, and a yellow brick road. On her way to the Emerald City to meet the Wizard of Oz, who she believes can help her get back home to Kansas, she encounters the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion - friends who help her battle the Wicked Witch of the West and eventually learn that there really is "no place like home."
The production is directed by Kelly Woodland, Music Directed by Rick Bogner and Choreographed by Vanessa Russo. Featuring set design by Caleb Carrier, lighting design by Patrick Bedell and costume design by Georgina Willmott and Becky Evans. Assistant Directed by Corinne Woodland, Stage Managed by Lily Meaker and Assistant Choreographed by Anna Trinci.

Tickets on sale now at ManateePerformingArtsCenter.com or by calling the Box Office at (941) 748-5875. Student and teacher discounts are available. All performances will be held at Manatee Performing Arts Center in Stone Hall Theater. Tickets range from $27 - $37 and are subject to change according to availability.
