The Sydney Con Jazz Festival returns for its seventh edition on Sunday, May 31, 2026, running from 12pm to 9pm across six concert halls at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, nestled in the Royal Botanic Gardens. The festival features 140 artists across 26 concerts, offering a broad snapshot of contemporary Australian and international jazz. Headlining the 2026 program are alto saxophonist Ben van Gelder and guitarist Reinier Baas, alongside vocalist Kristin Berardi performing with Florian Ross and strings, and Belgian pianist Jef Neve joining trumpeter Teus Nobel. Other highlights include ZERO X MACE, a collision of jazz big band and hip-hop led by Noongar MC Zero Emcee and composer-conductor Mace Francis, and Friendly Foe, a double big band world premiere featuring the Melbourne University Big Band and the Sydney Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra performing a newly commissioned work by Florian Ross.
