Friendly Foe is a world premiere double Big Band event featuring the Melbourne University Big Band and the Sydney Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra. Acclaimed composer Florian Ross has been commissioned by the Sydney Con Jazz Festival to compose an original work for the occasion, described as an extremely rare undertaking for this format. The performance showcases the next generation of Australian jazz talent at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music on May 31, 2026.
