MIRANDA MUSICAL SOCIETY ANNOUNCES NEW PRODUCTION OF LES MISERABLES!

A new production of Boublil & Schonberg's legendary musical LES MISERABLES, comes to the Sutherland Entertainment Centre this September under the direction of Musical Theatre royalty Miss Geraldine Turner, OAM.

Adapted from the classic Victor Hugo novel and modernised from earlier musical productions, the and Boublil and Schonberg adaptation of Les Miserables has left audiences spellbound the world over.

Its messages of hope, love and the triumph of the human spirit transcend decades and continents. Its spirited, robust story has universal appeal and its powerful characters have left their indelible footprint on the stages of countless theatres.

Les Miserables features an unforgettable score and is a powerful affirmation of humanity. Released after 19 years of unjust imprisonment, Jean Valjean finds nothing but despair and mistrust in the bleak countryside of nineteenth century France.

Breaking his parole and fleeing north in hopes of hiding from societal prejudice, he is relentlessly pursued by police Inspector Javert, who refuses to believe that men can fundamentally change for the better.

A sprawling 20 year journey that weighs the measure of humanity against the struggle to survive, Les Miserables is an unstoppable pop-opera and an international phenomenon that has thrilled audiences for over 30 years!

Miranda Musical Society is proud to present this modern classic this September at the Sutherland Entertainment Centre.
