Exposure at PACT Theatre

Exposure is a live performance by Branch Nebula featuring performers Mirabelle Wouters and Latai Taumoepeau, in which the ageing female body is placed under sustained physical and material force. Bodies are bathed in black oil, steel bedframes are suspended and manipulated, and heavy objects are thrown into a clothes dryer, their impacts transformed into percussive rhythm. Operating at the intersection of the sensory and the cerebral, the work invites audiences into a collective act of witnessing bodies persistently exposed to force, instability, and time. Exposure plays at PACT Theatre in Sydney from May 20–23, before continuing to Melbourne's Rising Festival and Vitalstatistix in Port Adelaide.
