Soloists From the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra Perform This March

Seven soloists of the magnificent Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra - gathered from interstate and overseas for their Madness & Confrontation and Voyage of Musical Discovery orchestral concerts on 24 and 27 March in Sydney - will also perform a special chamber program in three mouth-watering recitals.

The three performances - at Monash University in Melbourne on Thur 28 March at 1.10pm, in the Recital Hall West of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music on Fri 29 March at 6.30pm, and at St Jude's Church as part of the Bowral Autumn Music Festival on Sat 30 March at 6.30pm - feature members of the orchestra, based in Queensland, Victoria, NSW, England and Belgium!

A new era of virtuosity on wind instruments swept through late 18th-century Europe, and Giovanni Punto and François Devienne dazzled listeners with their compositions as well as their playing skill.

In historically informed performances (HIP) on authentic reproductions of instruments of the day, the soloists of the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra invite you to discover these remarkable musical treats, in the company of one of Beethoven's most beloved chamber works.

The final and dearest legacy of the beloved late Australian music legend Richard Gill AO, the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra has become a musical force to be reckoned with!

Boasting an annual concert subscription series, countless chamber concerts and a host of active education programs, the orchestra's work has been lauded by audiences and critics alike.
