"Hoors Summer opera" has since 1997 performed opera in London in the month of August, always with professional artists together with children and young people in supporting roles. Now you come to Ystad theatre with its latest produktiohn, "KING MATTHIAS". Mattias is a small boy who becomes King of "Lakedonien". He wants to be a good ruler, who think of the children. The Opera is based on the books by the doctor, pedagogue and writer Janusz Korczak, who dedicated and gave life to the children and their stii rights and whose ideas inspired the UN Convention on the rights of the child. King Karrie sung by Josef Zetterberg – Pihl from Lund, and his companion, the företagsamme Felix, by Max Ivarsson, Ystad. They are 2 of the 40 children and youth (8-20 years old, from all over the region) involved. The three neighbouring Kings is sung by Matt's Jack, baritone, Richard Wieland, countertenor and Linus Ask tenor, the treacherous journalist by Charlotte Gustafsson, soprano and the wise doctor of Johan Bogren, bass.
