About the program
If you are looking for a place to study theatre, I hope you will consider the Department of Theatre and Music Studies at The College at Brockport. We offer an intensive theatre experience in a liberal arts environment, offering a broad well-grounded base for further exploration in graduate school, the professional theatre, or in other professions where you can use the communication and organizational skills, technical knowledge, and collaborative experiences you will find in our department.
A major component of our program is our relationship with Geva Theatre, Rochester's professional (union) regional theatre company. Every semester, artists from Geva are on campus teaching, lecturing, and offering workshops. And every semester Brockport students serve as interns at Geva, working side-by-side with the professional company.
We offer an exclusively undergraduate program, small enough to offer production and performance opportunities to first-year students, and large enough to offer up-to-date facilities and the kind of expertise and support our students deserve. We are dedicated to helping you follow your individual course of study and growth as a theatre student.
