Minor in Music


On campus you might find one of the many Spelman music majors in one of the choral and instrumental rehearsal rooms or music technology labs, temporarily housed in the Milligan Building and the Living and Learning Center II, practicing on or accompanied by a Steinway piano. They might be practicing alone or in an ensemble, preparing for faculty audition or participating in the Glee Club or other activity. Whether voice or instrument, the music department has a variety of performance ensembles for all music enthusiasts. Other performance ensembles include AUC Orchestra, Spelman College Chamber Singers, Spelman-Morehouse String Quarter, and Spelman-Morehouse Wind Ensemble.
