Welcome to the Conservatory of Theatre & Dance! We offer a professional training program with Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Acting, Dance, Musical Theatre, and Theatre Design & Technology. Our goal is to prepare you for an active and successful career in the performing arts through high-level classroom instruction, high-quality productions, masterclasses by professionals in the industry, and summer internships with professional companies. The Conservatory of Theatre & Dance is located in the Holland School of Visual & Performing Arts where we offer state-of-the-art training and performance facilities at the $75 million River Campus. Our experienced and highly-trained faculty & staff are dedicated to preparing our students for a life-long career as working professionals in the performing arts. Lovers of new theatre will gather this August for an advance look at tomorrow's hits at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's 2018 New Works Festival at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. This unique festival offers audiences an extraordinary opportunity to experience new plays and musicals in their early stages of development, and hear about the creative process in a "Meet the Artists" panel discussion. With multiple performances of each work, playwrights and composers are able to rewrite scenes, add or delete songs, revise and refine, allowing audiences to return and watch the exciting evolution of brand new pieces of American theatre.
