The music program provides an engagement with artistic expression that reflects the integrity of the human spirit. Students who seek this degree have interests in performance studies, pedagogy, theory or history or want a solid general background in music. Some students choose to pursue graduate study upon completion of the degree, and others choose to double major or add a minor in an area outside of music. The music major certifies a graduate to teach, work in the music industry and/or serve in their own individual community’s artistic life. The institution is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
