This drag trio, renowned for their remarkable portrayals of the beloved characters from "The Golden Girls," is set to captivate audiences at .Zack Theatre with their infectious energy, incredible talent, and unique brand of entertainment.

The Golden Gays™ consist of Gerry Mastrolia (aka "The Rose"), Jason Bea Schmidt (aka "The Dorothy"), and Christopher Eklund (aka "The Blanche"). Each member brings their own flair and expertise to the group, resulting in a captivating performance that pays homage to the iconic TV series while adding their own modern twist.

Gerry Mastrolia, a North Jersey native, discovered his passion for entertaining at a young age. From Three Stooges routines in his living room to a thriving career in musical theater, Mastrolia's journey has been filled with memorable roles and exceptional performances. With his infectious charisma and impressive stage presence, Mastrolia brings a touch of magic to the Golden Gays™.

Jason Bea Schmidt, the world's premier Bea Arthur impersonator, is not only a talented actor and voice-over artist but also the producer of the group. Living in Philadelphia with his husband and beloved pets, Schmidt has garnered a reputation for his impeccable portrayal of Dorothy Zbornak. With an extensive off-Broadway, cabaret, and comedy club credits, Schmidt's comedic timing and genuine love for Bea Arthur shine through in his performances.

Christopher Eklund, as "The Blanche," is thrilled to be part of The Golden Gays™. His lifelong admiration for "The Golden Girls" and impressive theatrical credits make him a perfect fit for the group. With his captivating presence and exceptional talent, Eklund adds depth and excitement to their performances, perfectly embodying the character of Blanche.

The Golden Gays™ began their journey in 2017 when they burst onto the scene at RuPaul's DragCon NYC and the famed Rue-La-Rue Cafe in Washington Heights, New York. Their performances at sold-out venues such as Theatre Row, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, and The Duplex garnered a loyal and loving fan base, known as the #FriendsOfClayton.

Since then, The Golden Gays™ have taken their show on the road, captivating audiences across the nation. Their mini-tour of the Golden Girls Musical Revue, "Hot Flashbacks," solidified their status as the toast of the Northeast, with performances in Pittsburgh, Cumberland, Baltimore, and Asbury Park.

The group's interactive approach to their shows adds an extra layer of excitement. In their quest to find the missing Sophia Petrillo during "Hot Flashbacks," they invite lucky audience members, affectionately known as "#TokenSophias," to join them on stage and become part of the hilarity themselves.

"Hot Flashbacks" takes the audience on a musical journey through the most memorable moments of "The Golden Girls." Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose leave no stone unturned as they search for Sophia, entertaining the audience with live singing, dancing, and a dash of nostalgia.
