Award-Winning Comedy Delivers Non-Stop Laughs

This Olivier Award-winning comedy is a hilarious hybrid of Monty Python and Sherlock Holmes. Welcome to opening night of The Murder at Haversham Manor of the Cornley Drama Society’s newest production, where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous.

This ill-fated play-within-a-play is comically undermined by a series of escalating and increasingly absurd mishaps, from collapsing sets and forgotten lines to props going missing and actors getting injured.

The main story revolves around the dramatic unfolding of these accidents and the actors’ attempts to keep the show going amidst the chaos. With an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines), it’s a riotous explosion of comedy!
