Chapin Theatre Company's Production of Marvin's Room opens this Friday, Marcy 7, at the Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College, 7300 College St., Irmo, SC. Marvin's Room, written by Scott McPherson and directed by Glenn Farr, is the poignant story of a fractured family finding common ground when one of its members becomes ill. Imbued with humor, it is a wise and moving story that is also remarkably optimistic in spite of its serious premise.
